About Me

Hey there! My name is Amara, and I’m a theatre artist specializing in musical theatre and classical work.

I developed my passion for performing arts in theatre summer camps when I was growing up in Kansas City. Ever since I have been hooked!

I am a graduate of the BFA Musical Theatre program at Webster Conservatory in St. Louis. During my time at Webster, I have also started getting into activism work as well. I am currently on a advocacy council for conservatory students with disabilities and have also worked closely with the WebCo Artists of Color Collective.

Other interests of and hobbies of mine include listening to jazz, playing piano or guitar, composing music, and crocheting. One of my future aspirations is to create or work with an organization to make arts education more accessible for marginalized communities.
